Current Report

Now that the Madison is closed from Quake Lake to McAtee Bridge, angler focus turns to the Gallatin and the Madison below McAttee, or the stretch between Hebgen Lake and Quake Lake.  Fishing has been good in all three locations.  Stonefly nymphs, Caddis Larva and Midge Pupa and Larva are the most important food to immitate.  Long dead drifts with sunken flies are the way to find fish in this cold water.
