Fly Casting Essentials: Straight Line Path

by John Schilling May 20, 2016

WANT TO IMPROVE YOUR FLY CASTING?

THIS IS THE 5TH INSTRUCTIONAL FLY CASTING VIDEO IN THE SERIES OF 5.

"In order to form the most efficient, least air resistant loops, you must move the rod tip in a straight line path - in both vertical and horizontal planes."

This three minute lesson covers the three main loop shapes and the actions that create them.

Beginner through to expert - If you have even the vaguest interest in improving your cast - these lessons are absolutely invaluable. These "5 Essentials" have become the foundation of all sound teaching and are the cornerstone of the Federation of Fly Fishers casting program.  (h/t On The Fly Productions)
