Well it was minus 20 below zero here in West Yellowstone the other day but that doesn't mean we're not getting ready for this years fly fishing trips.
Even with the chilly weather the other day we've still been getting out fishing on the Upper Madison River. Last weeks warmer weather with overcast skies provided us some opportunity to get in some dry fly midge fishing. The water temp down at the Kirby Ranch had been getting close to 40 degrees and with the longer days of February it can be fun. Of course fishing with small nymphs has also been productive along with streamers.
Before you know it we'll be back into our spring and summer fishing seasons. We've been booking reservations all winter so this is a great time to book your trip to ensure you get your favorite guide.
