A fully-redesigned frame and spool are highlights of the new Animas. The spool shows off the cutting-edge manufacturing techniques Ross Reels has developed, delivering a design that is incredibly strong and visually stunning. The Animas also re-joins the family by incorporating an ultra-light canvas phenolic handle which gets tackier when wet. A new trouble-free spool release yields zero-maintenance performance, allowing the Animas to be ready for any fresh or saltwater excursion.
The frame is accented by a machined silhouette of the Colorado mountains in Ross Reels’ backyard. Its uniquely ported design and structural profile are eye-catching industry firsts. The two-tone drag knob sports an updated aesthetic with a lower profile and increased grip. An improved composite drag system delivers more power in an established Ross design used and loved by more than 80,000 fly anglers the world over.

Action:
Fast action rods feature softer tips than medium action rods and provide a ‘stiffer’ feel. Fast action rods excel in the hands of anglers with more aggressive casting strokes and greater stroke control. Medium action rods are ideal for anglers with more fluid casting strokes and have a larger ‘sweet spot’ for a wider range of casting strokes. Consistently throwing a tailing loop? Your rod’s action may not be a good fit to you and your casting stroke.
Power:
A rod’s power is its resistance to flexing under load. Powerful rods are ‘beefier’ through the bottom half, generate higher line speeds, and are more adept at keeping big fish pinned. Delicate rods are more presentation-oriented, protect light tippet, and are a better choice for picky fish.
All ECHO rods are covered by our policy over the natural life of the product for the original owner at the discretion of Rajeff Sports. Rods that are determined to be damaged by abuse or neglect, either by physical or environmental factors (excessive wear and tear beyond normal use, saltwater corrosion, mold damage, etc) are not covered by our warranty policy.
If your rod breaks during normal fishing use, we will repair or replace your rod for a service fee (fee level differs by rod model) while the rod is a currently produced model and repairable. If your rod is a discontinued model and is not repairable, you will be offered a current equivalent replacement model at 50% off the MSRP.
Most current production models will have replacement tips available for purchase through our website without submitting a warranty/repair request.
Rajeff Sports / ECHO Fly Fishing reserves the right to update and change this policy at any time. We understand that every situation is unique and strive to stand by our products and guarantee quality, performance and reliability. Accidents happen, and we want you to have options to get back on the water. Quality control and manufacturing inconsistencies also happen, though rarely, and we want to make sure we do everything in our power to get them corrected.
All warranty and service requests are processed at the discretion of our warranty department. Rods deemed not repairable will be discarded unless explicitly requested before service is performed. Any return shipping fees on canceled/declined service requests are the responsibility of the customer.
