A day of technical instruction on the water designed to make YOU a better nymph fly fisher.

We will markedly improve your nymphing skills no matter what your experience.
Our classes will cover proper rigging, fly selection, reading water, and presentation.

We will show you:

• How and when to use indicators, European nymphs, and dry/ droppers, as well as how to rig each system.
• What flies to use throughout the year.
• How to approach the stream    
• How to get effective drifts in pools, pocket water and riffles.
• Casting techniques to set up long drifts and effectively get your flies in the water regardless of wind and obstructions.
• Advanced mending techniques and rod positioning to maximize the effectiveness of each drift.
• Practice proper hook setting to maximize the number of hook ups

• 9-10’ 4-6 weight fly rod for indicator nymphing
• 9-10’ 2-4 weight fly rod for European nymphing
• Floating fly lines for each rod
• Warm clothes, hats and gloves. Be prepared for any weather. 
• Hat and polarized sunglasses.
• Waders and wading boots.

If you don't have the above gear we will provide you with suitable fly rods, waders and wading boots for your guide trip.
